We are now required to perform reference checks for Temporary Researchers using either CrossChq or Letters of Recommendation (LOR). However, there are exceptions to this requirement:

• Retirees
• Students transitioning to temporary hires
• Rehires (individuals who have previously worked with us)

For these exceptions, please note in the requisition that reference checks are not needed for one of the above reasons. However, if we conduct an open search and hire a new Temporary Researcher, we must collect references.
