Note, you must have an existing account on your website which is tied to the CU LDAP
aka your identikey username
. If you are in need of an account please reach out to ciresithelp@colorado.edu and please provide your identikey username
, CU email address
, as well as your full name.
- While on the CU VPN, browse to “admin-cires.colorado.edu/user @ or ‘your-site-name.edu/user’
- Use your CU Identikey username and password
- You will now be logged in and may begin making edits and new content.
Note that Drupal ALWAYS has a login that utilizes the ‘/user’ path
Depending on your editing needs, you will be assigned a role type. Each role has varying degrees of permissions on the site.
Editing your ‘Landing Page’
There are two ways to begin editing your Landing Page.
1.) The first is to browse to your landing page and then select the ‘Edit’ button that appears to the right of the ‘view’ button.

Note that you will see the title of your group at the top of the page, indicating that if you were to select ‘edit’ you would then edit this specific page.
2) Utilizing the ‘content search’ functionality on Drupal.
- Using the administrative toolbar, select ‘Content’
- Type in the name of your landing page - and note you may also filter your search further using the ‘landing page’ as a filter in the ‘content type dropdown.
- Once you find your landing page to edit, select the ‘edit’ button on the right side of the table



Please follow this guide on editing banner images/uploading banner images on your landing page.
Landing Page Fields:
- Landing Page Type → This lets the site know what type of landing page this is and will already be selected for you. Changing this will move this page over to different sections of the site so best to leave it alone unless you are intending to change the type of page it is.
- Banner → A banner for your page
- Title → Your landing page a title
- Sub Title → Text displaying below your title
- Summary → short description of your page, used on external blocks but not displaying on this page
- Body → Body text displayed on the page
- Sidebar Paragraphs → Add sidebar content to this page. Note the sidebar paragraphs are specifically made for the sidebar region you may add ‘contacts, reference content on the site ( person, another page, etc ), upload a file, add a list item, a logo or a brief snippet of text if necessary ‘add text block.)

Paragraphs
Select the ‘Paragraphs’ tab to build out or review the existing paragraphs on your page.
- Paragraphs → select the type of ‘paragraph’ you wish to have displayed on your landing page.
Note if editing your existing page, you will see a list of the type of paragraph, with a description of what is inside and then an edit button. Select the edit button to expand your paragraphs

Options
Select the ‘options’ tab to view our page options
- Overlay Title → If you have a banner uploaded, do you want it to display on top of your banner?
- Hide Title → Do you wish to hide the title on this page? ( useful for very specific use cases, like the front page of the site )
- Paragraphs only → Select if you want the page to hide all of the fields in the first tab, landing page, and instead display ONLY your paragraphs. This layout would allow you to build a page that starts how you see fit
- Icon → You may add any icon from https://fontawesome.com/search to this page ( e.g. circle-book-open ) and it will display if this page is ever referenced and doesn't have a banner image - not required.
- Short name → This is for search. If your page is commonly referred to as a shorter name (i.e ESOC etc) add it here so that acronym will show up in search.
Options to not edit
There are three options in the ‘do not edit’ category. Keywords, Uber Page, and Uber Page name. These are backend fields only and require other extensive set up for admins only.
Save
- Select the ‘Save’ button to save your landing page updates
