Existing Test User

• Our preferred test user is Karly Isatest, CIRES ID 8779. Her PMT record is here: https://insidecires.colorado.edu/pmt/viewPersonnelRecord.php?id=8779.
• Keep Karly's appointments as short as possible, with a maximum end date a week from the current day. This will ensure she is usually inactive and won't mess up HR metrics. 
  • It is fine to create new appointments as long as they are short. These can always be manually deleted later.
  • Any data you enter for Karly will be considered real data by PMT. 

Creating a New Test User

If possible, use the existing test user described above. However, if you need to create a new test user, please do the following to ensure they do not appear on the CIRES website:

• Once their record has been created, click on the Edit button in the top right of their employee detail record.
• Under Roles, select RemoveWebDisplay.

• At the bottom of the page, click the green Save Changes button.

Note that it may take the system an hour to remove the person from the InsideCIRES directory feed once this role has been applied. 

The PMT will treat test user records just like any other records. Please keep appointments for test users as short as possible, maximum one week long, so that whenever possible test users do not show up as active records.
