1. After the candidate verbally accepts the offer, the Hiring Supervisor will inform CIRES HR, so that Central HR can start the CU background check.

2. The Hiring Supervisor will complete the hiring checklist form within 24 hours of the verbal acceptance and will send it to CIRES HR for routing to the Hiring Manager and the CIRES Finance Manager. The Finance Manager needs to sign the hiring checklist before CIRES HR requests an official offer letter for the candidate from Central HR.

3. When the hiring checklist is fully signed, which means that we have financial approval to proceed with the hire, CIRES HR will contact Central HR for them to create and route the official offer letter for this University Staff role. CIRES HR will indicate the order of signature (approvals) for that offer letter, traditionally including the HR Recruiter, CIRES HR Director, and the specific unit's Director.

4. Once the offer letter is fully signed, the HR and Onboarding Coordinator will collect the applicant's paperwork (CV, cover letter, proof of degree, job description) and send a confirmation welcoming the applicant and notifying them that the offer letter has been fully executed.
