Beginning August 5th, NASA will be joining NSF, USDA, DOE and NIH to require that all CU/CIRES Key Personnel submitting proposals must complete the required CU Research Security Training prior to proposal submission.
According to the NASA Grant Information Circular 26‑02, entitled “Research Security Training Requirements”, all senior personnel named on NASA grant and cooperative agreement proposals will be required to attest that they have completed research security training prior to proposal submission beginning August 5, 2026. This attestation will be made by signing a certification included in the updated NASA biographical sketch and current and pending (other) support forms.
CU Employees must complete the CU RS Training, as other trainings will no longer be accepted. Processing times may take up to 2-4 business days, therefore CIRES Proposals strongly recommends completing the training ASAP.
Researchers should continue using the current NASA biographical sketch and current and pending support forms through August 5, 2026, after which the updated NASA forms will be required.
